Trident Joins Partnership to Boost Military Spouse Employment
Jan 13, 2026
Trident Proposal Management will officially be inducted into the Military Spouse Employment Partnership during the ENGAGE Annual Conference, Jan. 29-30, 2026.
Trident will be recognized during an induction ceremony on Jan. 30 at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C. By joining MSEP, Trident becomes one of 168 new organizations joining MSEP, adding to the network of more than 1,000 employers dedicated to recruiting, hiring, promoting, and retaining military spouses in meaningful careers. The induction ceremony follows Trident’s January 2025 approval as an MSEP Small Business Partner.
Rebecca Wayland, Trident’s Chief of Staff, will not only represent Trident during the two-day annual event, but she will also be featured as a panelist on Leadership Buy-in. As Chief of Staff, Rebecca is responsible for helping drive our core commitment: creating flexible, portable job opportunities for drilling reservists, veterans, and spouses of active-duty military worldwide. We’re proud that 91% of our staff have military affiliations, which include Veterans, Reservists, and Military Spouses.
“We’ve been intentional about hiring military spouses at Trident for years and have always appreciated their contributions to our team, so it’s great that there are entire organizations and movements that exist now to help share best practices, promote opportunities, and provide resources – both for employers and military spouses,” said Wayland. “I’m excited to share what we have learned, and I look forward to discovering new ways Trident can continue to support the military spouse community while simultaneously formalizing our commitment to providing meaningful job opportunities.”
Military spouses bring strong skills, adaptability, and diverse experience to the workforce. Yet many military spouses often face employment challenges tied to military life, including frequent relocations. According to the biennial Survey of Active Duty Spouses, military spouses face a 20% unemployment rate, one of the highest unemployment rates in the country for a population.
MSEP is part of the Department of War’s Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program. Through the MSEP initiative, military spouses connect with partner employers committed to supporting their professional growth and success. Providing career opportunities to military spouses not only strengthens the financial stability of military families but also enhances force retention and military readiness — essential components of national security.
We’re proud to be part of this important initiative and are excited to contribute to the empowerment and support of military spouses around the world.
